Financial Assistance Opportunities at St. Philip Neri Catholic School
Financial assistance is available to families based on financial need.
Tuition Assistance (Transitional Kindergarten – 8th Grade)
Family Aid to Catholic Education (FACE)
The Diocese of Oakland offers tuition assistance through FACE. Applications are typically due in March for assistance for the following school year. FACE grants are for one academic year only and require re-application for each school year.
The BASIC Fund
The Basic Fund awards students tuition assistance to new students (TK, K or transfers to older grades). A family who receives a BASIC Fund scholarship will be awarded that amount with renewal for a student through his/her eighth grade year. BASIC Fund’s new and renewal applications for the 2025-2026 School Year are now open and available on their website. Families can submit their 2023 Tax Return along with their application, but we highly encourage families to submit their 2024 Tax Return as they won’t be required to update on next year’s renewal application. Current BASIC Fund families wanting to apply for a new sibling must fill out an application through the Existing Family Application page on our website. Families will need to input their email and BASIC Fund family account number (a separate email has been sent to families with their family account) to access their application. If the family does not know their BASIC Fund family account number, they need to follow the instructions noted to have their account number emailed to them. The New and Renewal Application deadline is March 28, 2025.
St. Philip Neri Tuition Assistance
Any tuition assistance awarded to families from the school begins with a FACE application. Then the school can determine the financial needs of the family.
We recognize that circumstances arise that affect the ability of our families to pay tuition. The school will attempt to help families who find themselves in challenging situations. Families in need of assistance should contact the school office for more information. Applications are reviewed in strict confidence.
